Stories say that about five miles south of Barnes on the east side of Coon Creek Bridge, a ghostly little girl can be spotted walking through the woods, mostly right before sunrise. Stories surrounding this bridge include a preacher and his mistress, who were said to have drugged his wife and pushed her car off the bridge, killing her. Locals say they hear screams and have spotted her ghost walking to the shore from the water.
